Having a large subscriber list can be highly beneficial in any online endeavor. This is because you will be able to send marketing materials to your target audience directly to their inbox. Some people worry about the technical aspects of setting up the subscription form on their webpage but this process is actually quite simple; e-mail management services will give the HTML needed for the subscription form. The real concern is related to marketing.

Provide incentives – you hear this tip all over the internet but I will repeat it here because it works. You should offer something for free such as free articles, free e-books, and free contests. You can even offer discount coupons to your products if you are selling something.

Use multiple forms – you can put the subscription form on most of your web pages. Putting the form at the end of the article after the reader has read the content has been proven to be effective. Not only will the added reminder help your subscription rate, but if you place forms after your content there’s a good chance prospects have already been exposed to your information and enjoyed it (otherwise why would they keep reading?).

Provide rationale – information overload is an inevitable part of being an internet user. Realize that your readers suffer from information overload as well so take time to explain why they will benefit from subscribing to your site.

Offline methods – exhibits are a great way to solicit subscriptions. When people visit your booth, you can ask them to sign up personally. Promotion Offline can also be effectively applied to list building.

Co-registration – this is a great way to get subscriptions from other websites. You need to have partners who will place your form at their “thank you page” when their readers have already subscribed to their newsletters. Take note that you will need to return the favor.

Premium placement – it is recommended for you to put the sign-up form prominently on the home page. It should be visible to the reader before the break (towards the top of the page without the need to scroll down). You can also use graphics or even animation or rotating images to draw their eyes to the registration form.

Thats all for now. Initially, all a webmaster needed to do was submit a page, or URL, to the various engines which would send a spider to "crawl" that page, extract links to other pages from it, and return information found on the page to be indexed. The process involves a search engine spider downloading a page and storing it on the search engine's own server, where a second program, known as an indexer, extracts various information about the page, such as the words it contains and where these are located, as well as any weight for specific words, as well as any and all links the page contains, which are then placed into a scheduler for crawling at a later date.

Site owners started to recognize the value of having their sites highly ranked and visible in search engine results, creating an opportunity for both white hat and black hat SEO practitioners. According to industry analyst Danny Sullivan, the earliest known use of the phrase search engine optimization was a spam message posted on Usenet on July 26, 1997.

By 2007, search engines had incorporated a wide range of undisclosed factors in their ranking algorithms to reduce the impact of link manipulation. Google says it ranks sites using more than 200 different signals. The three leading search engines, Google, Yahoo and Microsoft's Live Search, do not disclose the algorithms they use to rank pages. Notable SEOs, such as Rand Fishkin, Barry Schwartz, Aaron Wall and Jill Whalen, have studied different approaches to search engine optimization, and have published their opinions in online forums and blogs.SEO practitioners may also study patents held by various search engines to gain insight into the algorithms.

Basic of SEO:

As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work and what people search for. Optimizing a website primarily involves editing its content and HTML coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines.

1)Getting indexed

The leading search engines, Google, Yahoo! and Microsoft, use crawlers to find pages for their algorithmic search results. Pages that are linked from other search engine indexed pages do not need to be submitted because they are found automatically. Some search engines, notably Yahoo!, operate a paid submission service that guarantee crawling for either a set fee or cost per click.[22] Such programs usually guarantee inclusion in the database, but do not guarantee specific ranking within the search results. Yahoo's paid inclusion program has drawn criticism from advertisers and competitors. Two major directories, the Yahoo Directory and the Open Directory Project both require manual submission and human editorial review. Google offers Google Webmaster Tools, for which an XML Sitemap feed can be created and submitted for free to ensure that all pages are found, especially pages that aren't discoverable by automatically following links.

Search engine crawlers may look at a number of different factors when crawling a site. Not every page is indexed by the search engines. Distance of pages from the root directory of a site may also be a factor in whether or not pages get crawled.

2)Preventing indexing:

To avoid undesirable content in the search indexes, webmasters can instruct spiders not to crawl certain files or directories through the standard robots.txt file in the root directory of the domain. Additionally, a page can be explicitly excluded from a search engine's database by using a meta tag specific to robots. When a search engine visits a site, the robots.txt located in the root directory is the first file crawled. The robots.txt file is then parsed, and will instruct the robot as to which pages are not to be crawled. As a search engine crawler may keep a cached copy of this file, it may on occasion crawl pages a webmaster does not wish crawled. Pages typically prevented from being crawled include login specific pages such as shopping carts and user-specific content such as search results from internal searches. In March 2007, Google warned webmasters that they should prevent indexing of internal search results because those pages are considered search spam.

Just remember few tips and do not listen to the myths:

1) I read about a SEO myths lately that "Submitting your site on web directories is not good" Says who? It is true tho that web directories had a rough time with Google not long ago but having your website listed in a web directory will certainly not harm your site in the SERPs.

2) Google will NOT penalize you for duplicate content in exception if the original author will not send a copyright infrigement notice to Google Inc. in that case the URL where the copyrighted content is located will be removed from Google’s index.

3) Repeat your keywords to rank higher is a myth. Over repeating or also known as keyword stuffing will actually get you in trouble and possibly your site will be penalized.You need to keep a proper density of using the keyword.

4) Advertising through AdWords will not help in your rankings.

However since PageRank is Google’s tool to determine the popularity of a site (where the popularity is calculated by the number of the backlinks a site receives from other popular/trustworthy sites) then it is closely connected with the fact how your site performs in the search engines (but not for specific keywords, as search engine rankings depends on the anchor that is used on those backlinks).
Just maintain the same keyword density, give value to those keywords for which you are ranking and of course, never stop to build backlinks to your site. Especially stopping to build quality backlinks, will give more space and time to your competitor to beat you on the SERPs.

That's all for now.See you later folks.

How to Remove/ hide the blogger Navbar

How to remove Navbar :

This is a very common question. This way you can keep the Navbar and get rid of it in the same time....:D

How to do that? Nope, you don't have to worry about that.This is very simple too.Just follow the steps below-

1)Once again log in to blogger

2)On your Dashboard, Go to Layout and hit the Edit HTML tab.

3) paste the the green colored Javascript between your <head>...</head> tags:

<head>

<script type="text/javascript">
var showHeader=false;
function ShowHideNav()
{
showHeader=!showHeader;
var nav=document.getElementById("navbar-iframe");
if (showHeader)
{
nav.style.visibility="visible";
nav.style.display="block";
}
else
{
nav.style.visibility="hidden";
nav.style.display="none";
}
}
</script>
<style type="text/css">
#navbar-iframe {
visibility: hidden;
display: none;
}
</style>

</head>

Ok Done!! Credit for the concept of the PPC model is generally given to Idealab and Goto.com founder, Bill Gross.

Google started search engine advertising in December 1999. It was not until October 2000 before the AdWords system was introduced, allowing advertisers to create text ads for placement on the Google search engine. However, PPC was only introduced in 2002; until then, advertisements were charged at cost-per-thousand impressions. Yahoo! advertisements have always been PPC-based since their introduction in 1998.

What PPC really is?

In simple word Pay per click (PPC) is an Internet advertising model used on search engines, advertising networks, and content websites, such as blogs, where advertisers only pay when a user actually clicks on an advertisement to visit the advertisers' website. With search engines, advertisers typically bid on keyword phrases relevant to their target market. When a user types a keyword query matching an advertiser's keyword list, or views a webpage with relevant content, the advertisements may be displayed. Such advertisements are called sponsored links or sponsored ads, and appear adjacent to or above the "natural" or organic results on search engine results pages, or anywhere a webmaster or blogger chooses on a content page. Content websites commonly charge a fixed price for a click rather than use a bidding mechanism. Although many PPC providers exist, Google AdWords, Yahoo! Search Marketing, and Microsoft adCenter are the largest network operators as of 2007. Minimum prices per click, often referred to as costs per click (CPC), vary depending on the search engine and the level of competition for a particular phrase or keyword list—with some CPCs as low as US$0.01. Very popular search terms can cost much more on popular search engines. The PPC advertising model is open to abuse through click fraud, although Google and other search engines have implemented automated systems to guard against abusive clicks by competitors or corrupt webmasters.

The notable PPC search engine:

Ask.com

Baidu

Google AdWords

LookSmart

Microsoft adCenter

MIVA

Yahoo! Search Marketing

Yandex

These are basically the keyword based PPC search engine.

For more info you can check: http://www.payperclickguide.com/

Do you know what niche is?

I guess you probably heard about the niche marketing. And while I describing the 10 basic steps to make online money.I also used that word time to time. And I promised you to describe 'niche' in my later post.

What niche marketing is?

It is the process of finding and serving profitable market segments and designing custom-made products or services for them. For big companies those market segments are often too small in order to serve them profitably as these market segments often lack economies of scale. Niche marketers are often reliant on the loyalty business model to maintain a profitable volume of sales.

An often used technique for affiliate marketers. By seeking out smaller segments of larger markets, a website can be developed and promoted quickly to uniquely serve a targeted and usually loyal customer base, giving the affiliate a small but regular income stream. This technique is then repeated across several other niche websites until a desired income level is achieved.

A niche market is a focused targetable portion (subset) of a market.

By definition, then, a business that focuses on a niche market is addressing a need for a product or service that is not being addressed by mainstream providers. A niche market may be thought of as a narrowly defined group of potential customers.

A distinct niche market usually evolves when a potential demand for a product or service is not met by any supply, or when a new demand arises due to changes in society, technology, or the general environment.

Niche market ventures may become profitable even though they are by nature small in comparison to the mainstream marketplace, or monopoly. due to the benefits of specialization and focus on small identifiable market segments; even without the benefit of economy of scale. Niche markets may be ignored or discounted by large businesses due to what they consider to be small potential; this in turn is part of the process that makes the niche market available to smaller businesses. The key to capitalizing on a niche market is to find or develop a market niche that has customers who are accessible, that is growing fast enough, and that is not owned by one established vendor already.
Later folks.

Part-10 (Summery)

HOW TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE (Part-10)
Yay!! you are now know the basic tips of earning online money.

This post is the continuation of the previous post Make money online Part-9

Congratulation!!! folks. Most first timers take a quick look and then hit the back button and are gone. A percentage leave by clicking a link somewhere on the page. If you are still reading this then chances are you are one of my readers that has got past the cheese and knows that I actually have real content on these pages - the vast majority of it really does explain how I make money with this free no frills Blogspot blog.

In a nutshell I make money with this blog by explaining the SEO techniques I use to target terms like "make money online". I make money by simply ranking high in the serps for terms related to making money. That's it. I don't even need a single person to read a single word of a single post on this blog and I still make money. Good money too.

This blog will be a year old on December 23.

I have spent the past year writing posts that optimize various keywords that I have chosen based on the amount of traffic those keywords generate on the search engines. I built this blog without ever expecting or caring if I ever had a real audience of readers. My goal was simple - generate large amounts of search engine traffic and convert that traffic into Adsense clicks and affiliate sales.

I have had to modify my tactics somewhat from my initial plan due to the fact that I seem to have built up a small but growing readership and in deference to them I have had to shelve my affiliate sales pitches - you won't appreciate me hawking products designed to entice the unwary blogging newcomer. I haven't totally given up on this revenue stream yet it's just I haven't figured out a "Reader Alert" system to warn my regular readers when they should simply ignore a post logged for the purpose of affiliate sales. I will work it back into the mix at some point as there is just too much money sitting on the table with affiliate sales for me to ignore. I know because the first six months I made a decent buck from affiliate sales by optimizing this blog for those types of keywords.

The loss of affiliate sales has been mediated by the sharp increase in Adsense revenue as my main keywords have slowly climbed Google's search engine rankings.

For all of you that think Adsense is crap and doesn't pay much I have news for you... it is still the single easiest and best source of long term income online. If you haven't made money from Adsense it's because you don't know how - not because it doesn't work.

I now rank in the top 1-2 pages on Google for all the main "Make Money" keywords. This past week I finally hit page 1 for several highly searched terms and before I show you what this has meant I want to show you a few of those rankings.

I have yet to reach page 1 for my Prime keyword - "make money online" - but I am on page 2 of Google.com (The US region)

There are a couple of things I want to point out as you look at these and the following screenshots. A week ago there were about 170 million competing sites in Google's index. Today there are only about a 10th of this amount.

Google has just quietly cleaned house once again and eliminated millions of sites that are deemed irrelevant. Not just in this niche either - I have noticed this across all my niches. While this will have little effect on most of you, I point it out for interest sake as it is just one more step Google has taken recently to clean up its rankings. For those of us making money online this just means less competition and that's always welcome.

The other thing you should notice is the frequency of Blogspot.com blogs listed on the top search pages. People love bashing Blogger for all sorts of reasons but primarily because it doesn't look as professional or as nice as a self hosted wordpress blog or it is limited in many ways that wordpress blogs aren't. This is all true but when it comes to making money online all those nice looking Web 2.0 blogs aren't in the same ballpark.

Making money online and producing a reader friendly A-list style blog are not the same thing. Every time I hear a Web 2.0 blogger put down Blogger I cringe. People who haven't made a dime online are busy telling other people who haven't made a dime how to make money online by creating fancy looking social network friendly blogs. That is not how you make money online - that is how you try and make a name for yourself. Making a name doesn't mean you make any money. Ranking on top of the search pages does.

A word to the wise for all of you Web 2.0 bloggers - keep your nice blogs and play with them to your hearts content but don't expect to make money with them. If you want to make money online do yourself a favor and learn two things; stop complaining about Google and learn why Google is important and then learn how to SEO.

Think about the fact that once you do the work it just keeps paying you day after day and you don't have to worry about readers and posting schedules or spending all day stumbling and digging. I haven't done a damn thing in three days and the money just rolls in.

There really is an easy way to make real money online and I have just shown you what it is. Adsense.In my next post I will tell you why there are so many high ranking Blogspot blogs and then go over some little known tricks and tweaks for optimizing both search rankings and Adsense.

Later folks.

Links:

Let's go to Make money online Part-10

Part-8 (How to Make Money Writing Long Articles)

HOW TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE (Part-8)
Long artciles makes money? By optimize I am referring to Search Engine Optimization or SEO. While the term would lead you to believe that this field applies to all the search engines the truth of the matter is that the term should read "Google Optimization".

Others give lip service to optimizing for Yahoo and MSN but everyone knows that Google is the place you want high rankings on. Period. There is a growing belief among the web 2.0 crowd that social sites can and will usurp Google's domination of the web. This belief has been fanned by the recent Google slap that has seen a lot of formerly high pagerank (PR) sites demoted to lesser standing in the eyes of the mighty G. People are pissed off at Google. Small bloggers have had a major blow to their income. Social networks like stumbleupon and the like are often quoted as providing huge bursts of traffic and this has got people to thinking that maybe they don't need Google anymore.

I think they are wrong.

Social networks like digg, stumblupon and all the other submit-bookmark-tag-post-rate-vote-and bury sites have a couple of major problems with them.

They take up huge amounts of time and if successful you end up with a huge burst of traffic - burst is the keyword there.

The traffic is largely from the broad community of what has been called "webmasters" but I'm not sure what to call all of us now. The community is us. The people displaying everything on the web for the rest of the non-we/us world to surf. Average people don't have a clue about these social networks (teenagers excluded). Stumbleupon is used by and large by us - not them. This type of traffic is excellent if you want to make a name for yourself on the Internet Walk of Fame. This traffic sucks if you are trying to make money from it.

If you are reading this chances are you have your own blog or website. You are an "us". Part of the community. You know what this is all about and you didn't come to my site to buy anything, you wont be clicking any adsense ads either. You came here to read what I have to say and when you are done you will make your rounds on other sites you frequent. You are looking for information or maybe even entertainment.

If you write a personality driven content site then these are the people you want to attract. If they like you they have the power to give you high PR by linking to you and a high traffic rating on Alexa because they are the people that have the alexa toolbar installed. The only problem with a site like this is making money from it.

You can use adsense but it's not reader friendly and your type of visitor - a fellow community member isn't going to click on them anyway. Ask yourself - how often do you click ads - any ads? As A rule we of the Internet Marketing Community don't click anything accept links that further our quest for knowledge. People who we respect tell us to check out a site and we probably do. We know what lies on the other side of a clicked ad - a sales pitch not knowledge.

You can try to sell affiliate products but who are you trying to kid. Your readers all know what an affiliate link is and if they were interested in buying anything on your site they would use their own link anyway.

In general these types of sites make money by selling ad space, writing paid reviews, and selling pagerank by what ever name it's called or masked under. Unfortunately Google is putting an end to selling pagerank. If you want to make money selling ad space or writing reviews (using no-follow) then you will need some high traffic numbers to generate any meaningful income. How much would you pay someone for a review on their site if they only had 100 visitors a day? What if they had 5000 a day? This method of income generation is heavily weighted in the favor of large established sites. Small and medium sites will starve and have only made money with it currently because everyone has been selling pagerank with the review or to the advertiser.

PayPerPost is coming out with a new system for ranking sites in the new year - a system not based on pagerank. Lots of people are hoping that this system will allow them to give Google the mighty finger. They think that a new traffic based system will level the field. At the moment sites with high PR can make the most money doing paid reviews. The reason is because both parties know that the buyer is buying the backlink that comes with a paid post. If the backlink has a no-follow on it the buyer will have to find another reason to part with his/her money. Traffic would be the only other reason. When traffic becomes the deciding factor most current users of payperpost will find themselves making even less money. You won't be offered the money reviews unless you pull considerable numbers.

To make matters worse a personality driven content site is by nature poorly SEO'd. It has a hard time pulling in targeted traffic from the search engines. How many of you have a "make money online" type of site - lots. Yet I bet most of you have never had a click in the SERP's for a "make money online" term. The reason is because while you know your site is about making money online you haven't told Google. You have been trying to get readers and stumbles and diggs and zoomz but you haven't been trying to get search engine traffic.

A personality driven site has to use reader friendly post titles. You need to tempt your reader to come in. Your title has to stand out - tweak your readers interest. If I give the titles like "I Don't Write Long Posts Just to Annoy you...". The problem with this type of title is that you aren't using any keywords and without them it makes it very hard for adsense to supply your blog with optimized ads and for Google to index you for terms that you want to be indexed for. You will often get off topic ads and almost certainly only the $.01 to $.05 CPC ads.

If you see the ads for "Blogging" on your site this is Google's way of telling you that the only thing they know about your site is that you are a blog and have something to do with blogging.

If you are getting traffic from the search engines for irrelevant or out of context terms and very few for your main keywords then you know that your site is poorly optimized for your niche.

I know a lot of you are frustrated because you aren't making money with your site. I have just told you why - you are producing great content, attracting readers and seeing more traffic as a result of your social networking but you aren't getting the traffic that pays the bills. Search engine traffic. Google traffic in particular and if you are but still not making money then you aren't getting the right kind of Google traffic - targeted traffic optimized for your exact niche.

I write long articles because while it puts my readers to sleep and I love them dearly, I want the search engines to send me targeted traffic for keywords I have chosen - keywords that I have learned make money. This type of traffic clicks on my adsense ads. Better yet I get the highest paying adsense ads in my niche. I don't get $.01 clicks because my pages are optimized for highly targeted ads.

The idea behind adsense is to provide ads relevant to the page it sits on. If blog A writes a post about making money online and calls it "Making Money selling Dogs" he will be just as likely to get "dog" related ads as "making money" ads. In both cases the ads will be the cheap ones. The higher paying "dog" ads will go to the sites that aren't as whishy washy - a site that screams at Google... "Hey, I am about dogs and nothing but dogs...".

By the way - your post Title is the biggest factor in what type of ad you get and it's how Google decides what to index you under. It's not the only factor but it is the "Biggest" factor and if you screw it up you stand little chance of getting good ads or proper ranking. Think about this - should a post called "Make Money Selling Dogs" rank higher than a post called "Make Money" or "Dogs for Sale". In either case a person searching for "make money" or "dogs for sale" will be given those terms first in the serp's and the hybrid title will always be farther down the list. This title is perfect if you want to rank well for "make money selling dogs" but the problem is this - who would search for that term. If you are selling dogs your buyers will be using queries like "where can I buy a dog?". They won't type in "make money selling dogs" because they aren't interested in selling dogs they are buyers.

If you have a content based site and you want to make money with it then you will have to make some adjustments - write for your readers but start using your main keywords as much as you can in your Titles, Headers, Subheaders and bold them from time to time. This may lessen your stumble traffic but you will start getting search engine traffic and you will find that these people do click affiliate links and they most certainly click adsense ads. Better yet you will start getting higher paying ads as well.

My experience has shown me that Google ranks sites more on content than PR or backlinks. I have no proof but can point to a familiar pattern in the rankings. I am sure you have seen sites with less PR and relatively few backlinks rank higher in the serp's than a contextually relevant site that has higher PR and more backlinks.

There are two possible reasons for this. The lower PR site has less backlink quantity but higher backlink quality. This is certainly true but most sites atop a highly competetive niche like "make money" all have quality backlinks and yet a site with 30,000 links outranks a site with 3,000,000 links. Both have hundreds of quality links. In my view it's content that is the deciding factor. And not content like you think. I am not talking about who writes better or gives more information or better information. Google can't make those kind of distinctions. I am strickly speaking of keywords - which ones are used and how many times you use them.

From Googles point of view a site that uses "make money" 30 times in a post is more relevant than a site that uses "make money" 10 times in a post. Google also checks out how many other relevant keywords for the term "make money" are used to support the main keyword. The site that uses the keyword the most and has the most relevant accessory terms or long tail keywords is and should be ranked as the most relevant site.

But conventional wisdom states not to use a keyword more than 2-7 times per one hundred words.

That's why I write long articles - my competition will use "make money" 10 times in his/her article and I will use it 30 or 40 times. Guess who usually gets ranked higher? This also gets me very targeted traffic and the best paying adsense ads for them to click on. These long posts give Google a lot of different long tail terms to index me for as well.

That all for now.Later folks.

Links:

Let's go to Make money online Part-9

Part-7 (Techniques of posts)

HOW TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE (Part-7)
Techniques of the posts in your blog

This post is the continuation of previous post Make money online Part-6

Now you have set up your blog, and started to write article in it. There is a common question most of the people ask that how do they make the article attractive and search enigine friendly?

Ok, in this post I will share my point of view about this. The main fact is that your content has more to do with your search engine page rankings than any other factor - period. It has become increasingly clear that Google has tweaked it's algorithm in this direction for some time now and despite how many backlinks you have or what kind of pagerank you achieve - your content is the overriding determinant in how well your pages get ranked in the searches. Does this surprise you? I admit that I was surprised at first but have come to see the pattern developing. Google has one overriding goal - give the end user (the searcher or reader) the exact information they are looking for and compared to a few years ago they are achieving this in spades. When you search for something today on Google you usually find exactly what you are looking for. In days past you had to sift through a lot of garbage before finding what you wanted. How Google has achieved this is a credit to the "Brains" behind their engine and while most internet marketers have grumbled and whined over the changes that have crippled their former empires I have come to relish these changes. And so should you.

Is this really true?

The short answar is - YES. I have been experimenting for some time.Google has leveled the playing field for everyone. In the past the folks who made money online had all the resources and knowledge necessary for gaming the engines. Newcomers had a steep learning curve and in most cases didn't stand a chance of reaching the top pages in the SERP's. That has now changed. Anyone can get top ranking by doing what Google wants you to do and you don't need deep pockets to do it.

Anything else? Nope... not really but you can help yourself out by producing it in a search engine friendly way.

So what is that friendly way? This is where I am supposed to hit you up with a sales pitch for my ebook. Send me money and I'll tell you...........:D Lucky for you I'm too lazy to bother with setting all of that up and writing the book so I'll just tell you.

Here it is.

1) Create your blog using your main keyword in your Title.

2) Write your first post using your main keyword in the post Title, the first paragraph and use it again in the last sentence of the post.

3) Link the post Title back to your blog.

4) Don't over use your keyword in the main content of your post but try and use 5 or 6 related keywords a couple of times each throughout your post. If you are talking about "Fishing Recipes" then use related terms like "trout", "perch", "bass" and so on in your text. This tells the search engine that your content is on topic and makes your page easier to categorize. Think of it this way. If you are trying to get ranked for "Car Insurance" and all you write about in your content is "Car Insurance" then you will get categorized under "Car Insurance" and ranked about 2 million. If you mention several models and makes of cars in your post and several types of insurance plans available then you will get categorized for not only "car Insurance" but for all the more specific terms as well. It is these specific terms that will get higher rankings and all of them will boost your main keyword's ranking in the process.

5) Each new post should have your blog's main keyword in it but you want to write each new post on a specific sub topic of your main keyword. If my blog's main keyword is "Fishing Recipes" then each page will concentrate on a different fish and recipe. In time you will build up your main keyword while getting indexed for highly specific or targeted sub keywords or "long tails" as they are known.

6) Post at least three times a week for the first two months.

7) Do not add adsense or advertising or affiliate products to your blog for at least a month after getting indexed. If you do you will slow down your rankings or lose position on the SERP's. By not monetizing your blog you appear to be a credible source of information for the search engines. You can add this later but expect to see at least a slight drop in your rankings when you do. I have tested this extensively and can say without a doubt that you will always rank higher without monetization.

8) Have an "about me" section which gives your name, address and contact info. This makes you more credible. The more info you give the better although most people do not want to do this. This is not mandatory as you won't be penalized for not doing it. You will rank better if you do is all.

That's it for on page SEO.

Now I will discuss about for off page SEO-

Get indexed:

To do this don't bother submitting your site to the search engines or directories. Waste of time and quite frankly you don't need to.

I use a link from a PR7 site to get indexed immediately. Most of you won't have this option so do the next best thing. Put your link on a high PR site. How? Submit an article to ezine articles (PR6). The bots crawl it several times daily. When it gets crawled, your article gets crawled and the bot follows your link all the way to your new blog. You can also set up a page (lens) on Squidoo for the same results.

It might take 2-3 days before you actually see it indexed on the search engines but this is only because they can be slow to update their results. When you do see it you will notice that the blog was actually picked up a few days earlier.

Submitting to Propeller (formerly netscape) also works just as well.

You are just about done. All that is left is to boost your pages up the search engine rankings. This is done by obtaining a few decent backlinks.

I know you hate writing but there is some work involved in making money online.
For each post you write on your blog you should write 2 to 3 similar but not duplicate articles emphasizing the same keywords and submit them to different article directories. Start with Ezine articles and GoArticles. There are hundreds of article directories out there and you can find them with a little Google search. Use the highest PR sites first. Each time your article is picked up and posted on someone else's site you get a little link juice back to your blog. Don't write crap. Make your articles useful and compelling - people will want to use them for their own readers. Don't just put your link in the Author's box - this gets left off when people only post a snippet of your article on their site. This is when they only use your first paragraph and then put a link back to the original article so readers can read the rest if they choose. Put your link in the first sentence of the article using your keyword as the anchor text.

Anything else? Not tody. This is all I have done recently and it works like a charm. It works because I have concentrated on giving Google good quality original content.

See you later folks.

Links:

Let's go to Make money online Part-8

Part-6 (Turn traffic into money)

HOW TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE (Part-6)
Let's just talk about - 'How to turn Traffic into Money'

This post is the continuation of the previous post Make money online Part-5

Now that you know the basics of setting up your blog let's discuss making some money with it. I will describe it into several steps.

Find the proper niche:

Find a niche that will make money. This is all important as some niches are ready made for people who want to spend money and other niches won't produce enough cash for a cup of coffee.

Before running a keyword search you have to ask yourself what kinds of things people are willing to spend money on online. Music, electronics, books, travel, how to stuff, get rich quick stuff, personal development products and shoes all come to mind without thinking very hard. There are, of course, a lot more profitable niches than this.

The point is don't pick a niche that doesn't have an associated product or ebook that can be sold on it. You also want to be sure that there are adword advertisers for your niche.

One of the first blog I set up is about UFO. It's a nice blog with lots of info related to UFOs, the science behind it etc... And put google adsense in it and I thought I would make some money from that at least. Wrong! I didnot get a penny from there.

One of the ironies of setting up a good informative site is that if you do too good of a job people will stay on your site and read something that they came looking for. Then leave. This is fine if you have something to sell. I, unfortunately don't.

Note: If you have been sucked into enough programs that promise to make you rich you start to realize that most of these programs give you just enough info to get you started but always seem to leave out the key ingredient. All the programs available that promise to show you how to make money with adsense are exactly like this. They tell you how to optimize your site, how to research keywords, how to find traffic and a few other details - everything in fact that you need to know to make money from adsense. And you will - maybe $1 a day. They don't tell you that you will need hundreds of sites to make any real money. Then again maybe they do but it's between the lines. The "lines" in this case would be the software that they flog. Stuff that generates unique content articles, programs that upload content to your sites automatically, automated forum posting, automated directory posting, automated guestbook posting, automated blog builders, automated website builders and the list goes on.

Why do you need automated software for anything? Because it's all about the numbers. To make money you need to create lots and lots of sites and you can't do this manually. Automated programs are spam programs - in the loose sense of the word. Spamming means many things and spam blogs are included in the definition.

Some of you may ask me for info on these programs. I have been reluctant to tell you for a number of reasons.

#First: You need to know how to set up a "real" blog properly before you start duplicating it.

#Second:I fear you will start down the spam path without knowing what your doing and spend a small fortune in the process.

#Third: on a personal level, I have corresponded with many of you and realize that there are real people reading this and I like them, hence my conscience is weighing in on this. It's one thing to sell stuff to anonymous people who happen to find your site but it's harder when you know the people on the other end.

That said I will give you a list of some of the more popular software but without any links. That way I receive no affiliate fees and my conscience is clean if you pursue this avenue.

VooDoo Blogger - this program is designed to create thousands of crappy blogs. Has bugs but there is support given. This is a notorious spam program that doesn't make any bones about what it's for.

RSStoBlog - this is a legitimate program used to post content feeds automatically to your blog. Nothing wrong with this as lots of people use it to keep their sites up to date with fresh content. As with most automated software it can also be used to send content to all the spam blogs as well.

Forum Equalizer - this is simply a spamming program that lets you post messages on thousands of forums in order to leave a backlink to your site(s).

Guest Book Equalizer - same as the forum equalizer but you send posts to guest books instead. (leaving your backlink)

The following are not spamming software per se but can be used in conjunction with these other programs.

Article content generation software-There are too many to mention by name but they all do the same thing. (Google "Article Content Generation" for a list) They take articles that have already been written and change enough words and phrases to make it unique and then produce hundreds or thousands of unique variations of the same article. These can then be posted to thousands of blogs using RsstoBlog or a similar program.

I admit to using one of these programs but I only use articles that I write. This is to be certain that I don't get nailed for copyright infringement. If you don't set enough variables in the content generation program you could effectively produce an article that is only slightly different from the original and be guilty of stealing someone else's work. Be careful of this - I strongly suggest that you write your own articles. By the way there is no program that can create a readable article from scratch so beware any that advertise as such.

Article Submission Software - this allows you to automatically submit your articles to hundreds of directories. (a very time consuming process if done manually) You can Google this phrase for a list of available products. A word of caution - make sure your articles are well written before you submit them as most directories review articles before inclusion. Humans can tell if your article has been produced by spamming software and you won't get them posted.

Before spending a lot of money on this stuff I have put a link on the site to a program called "The OTO GoldMine". I came across this site in my travels and it seemed to be an ideal choice for beginners. You can join for free and make money by selling the products listed on the site with nothing more than an affiliate link. This is no different than other affiliate programs except that the product list here is as huge as any I've seen and has several very useful products. I also want to point out that they will try and sell you all these products when you sign up. The cost is $67. I mention this because a lot of the products in the list do the things I have just been describing - content generation software, blog submission et al. The price is astoundingly cheap for this kind of software that would cost hundreds of $ individually. (dam - that's sounds like a sales pitch and I don't want it to... old habits I guess)

What I am trying to say is that if you are going to invest in this stuff anyway then save yourself a lot of money and get it from this site. You can learn how to use the stuff and see if it is for you for a paltry sum in comparison to what you will spend searching for this separately. Anyway, whether you buy buy the products or not you should join for free and take advantage of the huge collection of products that you can promote on your site(s) and you only need one affiliate link. The nice thing about this is that they do all the selling - you just send them traffic and collect commissions.

A few facts you need to know-

#Most of the available software - while effective - requires some or a lot of knowledge about various aspects of computers, codes, operating systems, html, php, java script etc. Most beginners don't have the ability to work through this stuff and the producers of this type of software don't tell you about all the "bugs" and "fixes" needed to run the software before you buy it.

#Every program I have used to date has "bugs". Most developers will issue fixes and updates as they get them but the fact is all software has bugs (Windows XP had hundreds when released) and this can't be helped as there are so many different computer setups that programmers can't take everyone in to account when building the program. They tend to build it for the most common applications .ie. Windows XP, 32 bit etc. In this instance a Mac user may have problems.

#This stuff is expensive.

#If you don't use the programs properly you will leave a spam footprint a mile wide that Google, among others, will see and at best your sites will get dropped and at worst you will be banned from adsense.

That's it for today. Next post I will look at several "tweaks" that you can use to increase your backlinks and a few other novel treats.

See you folks.

Links:

Let's go to Make money online Part-7

Part-5 (Submit your articles in different websites)

HOW TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE (Part-5)
Do not just write articles in your blog, submit them to other websites too.

This post is the continuation of the previous post Make money online Part-4

Now a day blogs have become the online marketers best friend and new secret weapon for making money. As we continue with these lessons you will find out why this is so.

At this point you should have set up a new blog at blogger.com and completed few posts on it. The first post was your welcome message and the second post was your first article on your chosen keyword (topic/niche).

As well you should have joined GoArticles.com and posted a second article in their directory. The second article should have been a re-write of your blog posting - enough changes in it to avoid the duplicate content rules of the search engines.

This lesson is fast and easy and no, you don't have to write any more articles.

Getting your new site indexed:

If you have followed my instructions from part-3 your site is already optimized on-page for Google when it gets around to crawling you. There are a few things (known as off-page optimization) that we can do to speed up the process.

You'll be happy to know that you have already completed one of these techniques.

Writing Articles and submit them:

There is no better way to get your site indexed and ranked by Google than writing articles. While providing traffic to your site, articles also get you back links which gets you page ranking and ultimately a high placement in Google's search listings.

Note-The more articles and more directories you use the faster you will get ranked and indexed by Google. This is not a secret, just a well know fact that all the successful marketers know.

Here's a list of the most popular Article Submission Directories:

http://www.goarticles.com

(Pls left a comment if there is any broken link!)

The question is- 'how does it work?' .I'll explain this in full if I have confused you.

Ok, it's simple.Let me tell you about a little traffic generating trick. This is strictly for making some quick money with adsense. If you go to technorati you will see a list of "Top Tags". This list is really just a list of what people are searching for the most at any given period of time. You are no doubt aware that Anna Nicole Smith died recently. For the last few days the top searched tag at technorati has been her name. If you were to write an article about her and ping technorati you will get 40 - 50 people to your site about 15 minutes after posting and pinging. Here is the best part - you don't have to post a unique article. You can use other articles (as long as you provide the credit and link back to the original author). This is simply a way to make some quick adsense money and you don't care about Google indexing your site.

That's it for this lesson.See you later folks.

Links:

Let's go to Make money online Part-6

Part-4 (Page Rank,alaxa Rank and back links)

HOW TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE (PART-4)
A little chit-chat on page rank, alxa rank and back links.

This post is the continuation of the previous post Make money online Part-3

Page Rank and alxa Rank:

Page rank and alxa rank are similar word and page rank is closely associated with back links. To separate the wheat from the chaff Google has devised a page ranking system that it uses to determine how important your pages are.

For example, if you followed the part-1 then you have now created a blog on blogger.com It is highly unlikely that Google has found your blog yet but if it has then you would be indexed for whatever topic you picked.

Someone looking for your post using Google search would likely find your site listed a couple of hundred pages deep in the search listings. This is effectively like not being listed at all.Suppose you have had traffic come to your sites from as deep as six or seven pages back in the Google listings but most people will not search more than the first two or three pages.

Ideally you want to be on the first page to get the most traffic. To get on the first page you need, above all else, page rank and back links. Only the sites that Google deems as important get on the first page.

Further explanation of page rank:

Every site is ranked between 0 and 10. The higher the number the more important your site is. If your site is a 10 then I guarantee your site will be listed on the first page and no doubt in the top position. Currently the new blog you set up has a ranking of 0 (zero). Content and the age of your site will gain you some ranking over time. If you do nothing else but post unique content then you might get a ranking of 2 in a year from now, possibly sooner. A ranking of 2 will not get you much traffic. How can you speed up your ranking? Simple... get back links and get lots of them.

What is Back Links?

Ok, in simple word-'The are links placed on other websites or blogs or forums or directories that connect people to your site' are called back links. In other words they are click-able links that point back at your site (called hypertext).

The theory is that the more sites that have links pointing back at your site the more important your site must be. This makes sense. If other sites are sending traffic to your site then you must be some kind of authority for your niche or topic. As a result Google will give you a higher page rank because of your importance. With a higher page rank your site will then get listed higher in the searches.

There are some rules to this however. The back links that count must be relevant to your topic. If your site is about "motor bikes" then links from 'motor cycles' and 'motor cycles engines' sites are great. If you have links from a site like mine (money making online for the beginners) then Google will ignore the links because my site is in no way relevant to motor bikes.

The page rank of the sites giving you links is very important. If you get 100 links from other related sites then you might get a ranking of 1 or 2. If you get half a dozen links from relevant sites that have a page ranks of 5 or higher then you will end up being ranked a 4 or 5. If you can get a link from a page rank 7 or higher you will vault up the rankings quickly and the age of your site will not matter.

Note: You can get thousands of links from sites that have no relevance to your site and this won't help you at all. I mention this to caution you against using link exchanges or link farms. These types of links worked in the past but no longer as Google ignores them. By the way if Google catches you linking to sites that are not relevant to your site you will be penalized and lose ranking. This is how link exchanges work - people buy or sell links to anyone else regardless of relevancy. Stay clear of this.

One last thing- You will gain more from one way links. Lots of sites that are relevant to your site will trade links with you. They link to you and you link to them. This is called a two way link. Don't bother as this won't help you much. The exception would be if the other site has a high page rank. In this case go ahead but in reality high page rank sites only want links from other high ranking sites. They will not link to you unless there is an advantage for them. One way links are the best because Google sees them as a confirmation of your importance, ie. other sites think you important enough to give you a link without getting one in return.

The good news is that it is easy to get lots of relevant backlinks.

About the Google Sandbox:

You may or may not of heard about the sandbox effect. When it comes to Google nobody really knows the whole story on how they tweak their system. One of the most confusing programs they employ is the sandbox a system that keeps your site off the charts for a indeterminate period of time. This is in order to stop spam sites from getting listed fast. A new site may sit in the sandbox for 6 months collecting quality backlinks and lots of unique content and still not get listed in the searches. Then one day you find Google suddenly recognizes all the back links and content and bumps your site way up the charts.

I have several good sites that have been in the sandbox for several months now. This is normal and I have learned to be patient and use the time to get good backlinks and keep adding content. The confusing part is that this particular blog you are reading spent zero time in the sandbox. Google indexed this site in 3 days and has credited me with 135 backlinks already. This has meant traffic has been coming from the search engines since practically day one. I still don't have a ranking yet (all the backlinks are from O page rank sites) and yet my keywords are being placed on the first few pages of the listings. This blows me away as this blog is less than two months old and I am already high in the listings for certain keywords. I should mention that Yahoo and MSN has me even higher. (it's normal to get listed in Yahoo and MSN long before you get any listings in Google).

I found a different technique used in a blog. I am going to describe the same technique here.Don't worry I won't ask any money for this............. :D

Apparently the fellow thought I was going to give away a few tidbits to get you all hooked and then hit you up for money before I gave you the really good stuff. Don't worry - there is no fee and there won't be one.

Spreading this knowledge around doesn't hurt my business at all and to be honest these lessons will make great content for my blog.

Another reason for doing this is to help all the people who have picked up programs like "The Ultimate Supertip" and other similar projects.

These lessons will show you exactly how to make money with all of these programs and anything else you come up with. (If you have something that you want to try let me know - I'll give you my opinion on it as I have probably had some experience with it already)

OK, that's a lot of background and we haven't got around to today's lesson. Actually it's pretty simple but you will have to make yourselves do it. Write an article about your Blog's subject matter and post it.

The main rules:

1)Try for about 400 words.
2)Use your Keywords 24 times throughout the whole article.
3)Use your Keyword in the Blog Post Title
4)Use your Keyword in the first sentence.
5)Use your Keyword in the final sentence.
6)Try and Put your Keyword in Bold type at least once in the article - a sub headline is a good way to do this.
Put your link in the link field so that the post links back to your site.

Your link is http://yourblog.blogspot.com - replace "yourblog" with your sites url name.

Post your article on your Blog.

After you have finished on your Blog go to GoArticles.com

Select Submit/Edit An Article

Fill out the info to join GoArticles.com (It's free) and then I want you to re-write your article leaving all your keywords the same but use synonyms for all the rest of the main words. Synonyms are words that mean the same thing as the original word. ie. "New" is a synonym for "Original". (Sorry if I am insulting your intelligence but my main purpose is to spread this for the very beginners, that why I am trying to describe it step by step.)

I'm asking you to do this so that you have two articles that say the same thing but are written differently. You will post the second article on GoArticles.com. (It's easy to do and the site explains how)

If Google finds duplicate articles they will not index the pages that the articles are on. This way you will get your blog indexed. The GoArticle posting is what will get you those free and easy backlinks I was talking about earlier. I will explain more about this in the next lesson.

Before posting the second article I have to show you how to embed your sites backlink in the first sentence of the article. I will explain the reasons for this next lesson, for now just follow my instructions as this is very important.

Example. Let's say your keyword is "online money making".

Your Blog Post Title should be just "make money". The less extra words the better. You could add more keywords though... like "Make Money online" or "make Profit online"

Your Sub Heading should be something like "Everything you need to know about money makin online". Remember to put this in bold print in your blog post. (GoArticles will not let you make it bold.)

Your final sentence in the article would be something like, "Thanks for visiting my money making for the beginners site".

And now the important sentence... the first sentence would be like this...

"If you think online money making is hard then please read this article."

<*a href="http://beginner-money-making.blogspot.com/">online money <*/a> (replace dog grooming with your keyword and "beginner-money-making" with your sites url name)

This is the code to make a hypertext link - the two * should be removed as I had to put them in as spaces for you to read this code. With out the * you would see this online money If you hover over the link you will see the backlink pointing to beginner-money-making.blogspot.com in your browser window.

Highlight the entire block of code, copy it and paste it after highlighting the keyword in your first sentence. The final sentence will look like this;

"If you think making money online is hard then please read this article."

You have now put a backlink into your article that will point back to your site from whatever sites end up downloading your article and posting it as content on their sites.

Note- GoArticles has an authors box that allows you to put a backlink to your site in it. When people publish your article on their site they are required to post the whole article and your Author Bio (containing your link) as well. Sadly a lot of sites will just post the first few lines of your article and tell their readers that they can find the rest of your article at Goarticles.com by using a link that says "More, click here". This effectively cuts out your backlink in the author's bio which is located at the end of your article. By putting your link in the first line of text they can't eliminate your back link if they don't publish your whole article.

If you haven't figured it out yet, this is how you will get lots of backlinks to your site - one way backlinks, the best kind! You will be surprised how many times others will use your articles as content on their sites. (you can see how many times my articles have been downloaded here... GoArticles Top Authors - I'm number 7 last I checked.) People don't want to create their own and are happy to download someone else's work. Keep in mind that you will be downloaded more often if you have picked a popular niche. If you are still writing about "pre-Cambrian rock formations" you may not get any downloads.

Another Note: The sites using your article will likely not get the page indexed as Google will hit them for duplicate content. You won't have to worry because the GoArticles post is different from your Blog post. While your competition is busy not being indexed using your article you will be getting indexed because of your unique content. Your competition actually helps you by giving you backlinks while you hurt them by giving them duplicate content. Imagine there were only ten sites on the net that competed for dog grooming. Your site uses unique content and you supply the other 9 sites with duplicate content embedded with backlinks to your site. What would Google see? They would rank you at the top as the authority because all the other sites are pointing at you.

Obviously you will never get all the competition pointing to you but out of every 1 million competitors for every keyword I bet 99% use duplicate content which is how the 1% that use unique content get listed on the first few pages. Out of a million competing sites you really only have 50 to 100 real rivals, others that know what they are doing and are working on their rankings. You just have to out perform these sites to get top ranking. Stick with me and I will show you how.

That's all for today, Later folks.

Links:

Let's go to Make money online Part-5

Part-3 (Indexing, page content and keyword...)

HOW TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE (Part-3)
In this part I am going to give you a few tips on indexing, page contents, content volume and keywords.

This post is the continuation of the previous post Make money online Part-2

The main problem of online money making is that- most of us don't know where to start, but eagar to earn a lots of money. As I mentioned in part-1 , the best place to begin is with your own blog. Why? Because-

1)It's easy and simple.
2)Blogs are free
3)They are an excellent way to learn the basics of online marketing
4)You can start to earn without spending any money to do it.

Start with one blog and learn how to tweak it using SEO techniques that I will give you as we move along. Ultimately we want your blog indexed by Google. If you do this correctly, Google will eventually start sending traffic to your site.

Before moving on let's clarify a few terms so you have a better understanding of what we are trying to accomplish.

1)Indexing of website or blog:

This term refers to the search engines. Simply put - Do the search engines know that your site exists? If they do then you have been indexed. How can you tell? Just query the search engine using your URL address
ie. http://beginner-money-making.blogspot.com - if they find your site then you have been indexed. If it says that no page exists by that name then you aren't indexed.

There are many search engines but we are only interested in the top three; Google, Yahoo and MSN. These 3 engines account for 75% of all search engine queries carried out on any given day with Google processing the most queries by far. (50% estimate).

If you go to Google and type in a query - let's say "how to make money online" - Google will look through all the pages it has indexed (read and recorded) from all the sites it continuously crawls on the Internet in order to present you with a list of the most relevant sites concerning your query.

The brains at Google have come up with algorithms that determine relevancy based on several factors, some we know about and some we don't. The factors we know of include things like page content, the age of a site, keywords, sheer volume of unique content, page rank and most importantly, relevant back links.

Let's look at these factors a bit more closely.

2)Page Contents of the blog:

Google likes unique content. You will get indexed fast if you use original material on your blog. If you copy and paste content found elsewhere on the Internet you won't get indexed very fast and usually not at all. You can also get into copyright troubles doing this.

3)The age of the blog:

The older the site the better. This is not crucial but Google will give older sites a higher preference over new sites simply to eliminate all the spam blogs and sites that are created daily from dominating its index. This can be overcome with the proper technique.

4)Using proper keywords:

The term keyword simply refers to what your topic is. If I wanted some info on money making online, I would type in "money making online" or "online money making" on Google and it would present me with a list of sites related to "How to make money online". Google uses keywords to generate its search. If you have a website or blog that discusses process of online money making and you have used this keyword enough times in your posts then Google will rightly assume that your website is about online money making. If you only used the keyword once then Google will probably not use your site in its list for "money making" .

Beware that using your keywords too many times will get you into trouble as Google will see your site as a spam blog and delete you from its index. The rule of thumb is that you want to use your keyword 6 or 7 times per one hundred words. (keyword density should not exceed 6-7% of your total article) This is very important.

5)About the content Volume:

The more pages you produce the better. Search engines like content - the more the merrier. If you keep adding pages to your blog or website, the search engines will crawl you regularly and your site will get listed more often when your keywords are queried. Why? Think of it this way. If you write just one article about a subject, how much info can you give in three or four hundred words. A bit but you will leave a lot of pertinent info out.
Take "Motor Bike" for example. My first article might discuss the history of Motor bike and where to buy them. This is fine and I may get listed whenever someone queries the following keywords; "bike", "motor bike", "bike models", "price of bikes". The problem is that I won't get listed if someone queries "Types of motor bike" or "price of motor bikes" or "Colours and models of motor bikes". Are you getting the picture. The more articles you write the more content you give the search engines to list your site under. If my site has a thousand pages on everything there is to know about motor bikes then I guarantee I will get listed for every query made about motor bikes. The more you get listed the greater your traffic will be and the more clicks your adsense ads will get.

Let's stop here for today.You will found more tips and tricks in my later posts.
Later folks.

Links:

Let's go to Make money online Part-4

Part-2 (Customizing your blog)

HOW TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE (Part-2)
If you follow my instruction of part-1, you probably made a blog of your own in blogger.com.Now it is the time to customize it.

This post is the continuation of the previous post Make money online Part-1

After creating a blog in blogger.com, now you are ready to customize your blog. You will notice that your title is a hypertext link pointing to your site.
On the right hand side of the page is a section called "Blog Archive"
And below that is an "About Me" section.

You can add and remove any section you like by selecting "Customize" from the top right corner of your screen.

How to remove any page element:

Suppose I want to remove "About Me" box from my page. Select "Customize" Click the edit link on the "About Me" box. I am going to select the "Remove Page Element" option to get rid of this but if you want to keep the "About Me" section just fill in the info boxes and click "Save Changes".

How to add any page element:

OK, now let's add a Page Element. From the main customization screen click the link that says "Add a Page Element" (Use the right hand column box - not the one on the bottom of the page.)

You will get a pop-up screen with a lot of Page Elements listed on it.

Let's add AdSense to our blogs. Click the AdSense "Add to Blog" button. If you don't have an AdSense account follow the instructions to get one. You will get a publisher ID from Google that will enable you to post AdSense ads on your blog. Once you have this pick a Format and use the Blend Template option regarding colors. (it's the default).

Note:If you want to use AdSense channels to track your blogs then you will have to create your AdSense code in AdSense Setup in your AdSense account and then copy/paste the code generated into your blog manually. Don't use the "AdSense" element for this - use the "HTML/JavaScript" element and paste in the code after the box opens.

For right hand column ads I stick to the 160 x 600 vertical Banner Format.

Click "Save Changes" and you will notice that an AdSense box has been added to your right hand column at the top.

Click "View Blog" and see the results.

Note- Don't be afraid to add and delete elements on your blog in the meantime. Play around and learn how to use the Page elements. You can also edit the Blog's type, fonts, colors and element positions. Experiment a bit.

It takes a day or two for Google to recognize your content and place corresponding ads on your site. At first you may only see public service ads until Google figures out your keywords. Just be patient as this is normal. Having said that, I was given ads related to Blogs/Make Money immediately and you may have got appropriate ads as well if you followed my instructions. Why? Remember I told you to use your keywords several times in setting up your blog. I did this so that Google will have no problem figuring out what your blog is about. If your keyword is about something that has advertisements Google will find the ads.

You will have to sit down and write one decent article about your keyword. Later I will show you how to get unique content without writing your own but for now you will have to bare down and do a little typing.

Later folks.

Links:

Let's go to Make money online Part-3

Part-1 (Learn to set up a blog in blogger.com)

HOW TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE (PART-1)
This part is the foundation of online money making process.I will discuss about how to make a blog and few other tips.

If you are starting out, you probably don't know where to start and it's hard to get anyone who knows what to do to spill the beans.That is why I started this blog. And I'll share my point of view and describe it to you in a few simple steps.

The point is most of you want to know where and how to start an online money making venture. The trouble is that all the online marketers has a different scheme for you to try.Which one is right?

Just forget about all of these bulls*its and let's starts with the basic and easiest theme of online money making.

Let's get down to the basics:

Before you start spending money needlessly. Forget about websites, forget affiliate marketing, forget AdWords, forget everything and start from scratch.

Let's start with "Google AdSense" and Blogs. (I will describe about Google AdSense in a later post.. :D)

Google AdSense is the cheapest and fastest way to get started making money online. You can set up a blog for free. Google will provide advertisements for your blog for free. You will earn an immediate commission from Google each time some one clicks an advertisement on your blog. Once you get your blog up and running you can diversify with affiliate marketing and other methods of making money. A blog is very simple to manage. Once you have a blog you will then learn-
1) how to market it
1) get traffic to your site.
When you have learned how to do these you can transfer this knowledge to websites and other online ventures. A blog will teach you the basics and you can learn without spending gobs of cash in the process.

I'm sure you have seen screenshots of people who are making hundreds of dollars a day from AdSense. Is this a fiction? Nope. They earn what they say but beware that they are not telling you the whole story.

There are several strategies for making money with Google AdSense but let's look at the two most common.

1)Using AdWords or other paid advertising to generate traffic to your AdSense sites and hence generate AdSense clicks.

2) Getting free traffic using SEO techniques (Search Engine Optimization) and harnessing the power of multiple Blogs to generate AdSense revenue.

OK, now you know the basics. Let's get started with the blog.............:D

Let's begin:

I will try to describe this simple method.It's really easy to start. In future posts I will explain more and more techniques as we go. For now we need to get a few blogs set up.

Go to Blogger.com and set up your account (You need a Gmail account for this).

When you have completed this we can begin.

Before creating your blog you will have to find a topic. This is called a niche (I will describe about niche later). There is a lot to learn about finding the right niche but for now just pick a topic you like. Let's learn how to set up a blog before we worry about what kind of blog will make money.

I will set up a new blog with you so you can see how I do it.

In Blogger.com select Create Account.

Select a name. Try and use your keyword in the name and the blog address. (Use Capitals in your name but only lower-case in blog address.)

ie. I want to call my blog "How to Make Money Online For the Beginners " using the following address "http://beginner-money-making.blogspot.com/".

Note:It is important to use your keyword in your Blog's Title and Address. This will greatly help you when it comes to search engine rankings and indexing. This is a big topic that I won't get into right now - just trust me on this.

Fill in the word verification and hit continue.

Note:It now appears that Blogger has a new flagging system that can catch most auto-software trying to set up multiple accounts. As you can no longer use link farms effectively this is a moot point and you should only be creating 3-4 blogs per account. Do not use the same keywords in each blog. ie. Don't create related blogs in each account. If you want ten blogs targeted to 1 niche then put each blog on a separate account.

You will now be asked to select a template. Later you can experiment with all the different templates but for now just choose Minima as you will find it easier to follow along with me. (It is the first choice and it should already be selected automatically) I have found this to be the most professional looking template and I use it frequently. You are reading this post on a Minima template. It is also perfectly optimized for SEO without having to tweak it.

Hit continue to select the Minima Template.You can change your template later.

Next you will see a page that says "Your Blog has been created".

That's all there is to it.

Hit "Start Posting" and we will begin the next step.

Before posting let's go into "Settings" and make a few customizations.

Fill in your description. Make sure you use your keyword at least once and preferably twice in your description.

Mine is;
"Learn Blogger Basics for Beginners How to make money online using blogs."

In this instance I have used my main Keyword "Blogger Basics" only once but I have also used secondary keywords "Blogs" and "Make Money Online". I used the pipe sign between them to eliminate words that the search engine doesn't use. It could have read; "Learn Blogger Basics for Beginners and How to Use Blogs and Make Money Online." It's better to replace these conjunctions with the pipe symbol. I'll explain this further when we get into Search Engine Optimization (SEO), another large topic.

After your description scroll down the page and hit "Save Settings". Don't change any of the yes/no settings. Leave them on default.

Select the "Publishing" tab.

Select "Yes" where it says "Notify Webogs.com" and hit "Save Settings" (the default is NO) This will help notify the outside world each time you post something to your blog.

Select "Formatting"

Change "Show" to 1 posts on the main page. (Default is 7)

Select your time zone.

Set "Show Link Field" to Yes.

Leave everything else as is and hit "Save Settings".

Select "Comments"

Select "Show" for Back links.

Select "Yes" for Pop up Window.

Select "Yes" for Word Verification.

Enter your email for comment notification.

Hit "Save Settings", and leave the rest of the options on default.

Select "Archiving"

Make sure the frequency is set to "Monthly" and the "Enable Post Pages?" is set to "Yes".

Hit "Save Settings"

Select "Posting" and we are ready for your first post.

You will notice that you have a Title Field, a Link Field, and a big box where you will type in your post.

It is important that each and every title you use has your keyword in the Title. (Again this relates to SEO - and again just trust me without further explanation at this point.)

In the link field you want to type in your blog address so that the post links back to your blog (your home page).

My link is typed as follows; http://beginner-money-making.blogspot.com/- this is the URL of my homepage.

Replace beginner-blogger-basics with your address.

My first post is short and to the point. It will mention my keywords at least twice.

It reads as follows;

Welcome to Blogger Basics for Beginners. This site provides tips and techniques for beginning bloggers in order to make money online.

Make your first post the same way. Use your keywords a couple of times and then hit "Publish".

Then hit "View Blog"

Congratulation!!!! You have now a blog of your own in bloggers.com.

We will continue to describe how to customize your blog in the next part.

Links:

Let's go to Make money online Part-2

10 basic steps to Make Money Online

#Part-1 (Learn to set up a blog in blogger.com) :This part is the foundation of online money making process.I will discuss about how to make a blog and few other tips.

#Part-2 (Customizing your blog) : In this part we will learn to customize the blog.

#Part-3 (Indexing, page content and keyword...) : This post is for some useful tips on keyword and indexing.

#Part-4 (Page Rank,alaxa Rank and back links) : Do you want to know what page rank and back link is? So after understanding about the basic process of making money online, I decided to make a blog of myown describing some easier steps on "How to make online money" for the beginners. Do not worry, I will share these tips with you too in my next post-"10 basic steps to Make Money Online"

This is my initial post and I am writting this just to start my blog. And I request you all to ignore the date of my posts (I may use random/unvalid dates).Sometimes I used some website as my reference, but I did not mention them.So you may find similarity between my articles and their articles.I just tried to keep the basic and easiest part from them, so that it become easier for everybody.
